Über das Stück

The little prince is back on earth. How did this happen? When the sheep ate his rose, he threw it furiously into space, and when no one ate from the baobab trees anymore, they grew so big that their roots blew up his planet.
The little prince fell and landed in the backyard of a bakery. He couldn’t find his best friend, the pilot, but he met the crow instead – a cheeky bird who defends his territory. The baker’s breadcrumbs will never be enough for two. When the prince enters the bakery, the crow senses his chance: perhaps the prince can help him lead a carefree life, where he’s no longer hungry. But the prince only wants to find the pilot. No one in the busy human world has time to help him. When the little prince sees himself in the shop window of a bookshop – on book covers, cups and bathing caps – he is stunned. Stories are sold, not told? The crow sees it more pragmatically: whoever sells so many books must be rich. The little prince continues his search, and the crow decides to accompany him on his odyssey, not entirely for altruistic reasons. An old friendship is lost and a new one found.
The Little Prince and The Crow is based on the bestseller The Little Prince Celebrates Christmas by Martin Baltscheit. He changes the setting of de Saint-Exupéry’s tribute to a naïve world view to the present and tells a story about growing up, not just at Christmas time.
